Ian Gallacher opened the doors of his Murray Place boutique in 1973 with a simple promise: make beautiful, hard-wearing diamond jewellery, sell it for a fair price, and treat every customer the way you would a neighbour. That promise still shapes everything we do — only now there are two generations of Gallachers behind it.
We supply diamond rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings — including a growing range of lab-grown diamonds — to suit every style and budget. Because jewellery is a meaningful purchase you'll wear for years, we take the time to get to know you and help you find the piece that's right.
We stock a wide selection of loose diamonds and finished pieces, but we will never push you to take something from our cabinet that isn't quite right. If you'd rather start with a blank page, we are equally happy to design a bespoke piece from scratch. Decades of trusted relationships with our diamond suppliers mean we can almost always find your dream stone.
50 years on Murray Place
Founded in 1973 by Ian Gallacher, the boutique has been continuously trading from the heart of Stirling for over five decades.
Family-run, second generation
Now led by Ian's son Andrew, with a team of long-serving jewellers and goldsmiths alongside enthusiastic younger talent.
Made in our own workshop
Our in-house workshop manufactures, repairs and restores jewellery on the premises — no third parties, no compromise on quality.
Up to 50% less than the high street
Direct relationships with diamond cutters and a no-nonsense workshop overhead let us offer comparable rings at a fraction of chain-store pricing.
The team
The business is now owned by second-generation jeweller Andrew Gallacher, with family values, craftsmanship and customer service safe for the future. Andrew is proud to have grown the team to include long-serving members alongside enthusiastic younger talent — Ellie, Megan, Alison, Paul, and a workshop of skilled goldsmiths who manufacture and restore in-house.
Why our prices are different
Most high-street jewellery is bought in finished form from third-party suppliers, with their margin baked into the price tag. We design and make in-house, work directly with diamond cutters, and run a single boutique rather than a national chain. Typically, an Ian Gallacher diamond ring will be up to 50% less than a comparable ring on the high street. Bring in a quote and we'll happily explain piece-by-piece where the difference comes from.
