Which laboratories' certificates do you supply?+
For natural diamonds we work with GIA, HRD, EGL and IGI — widely recognised independent gemmological laboratories. For lab grown diamonds we supply IGI certification. The lab is named on the report and, for larger stones, often laser-inscribed on the girdle so the stone can be matched to its certificate.
What does a diamond certificate actually tell me?+
It grades the four characteristics that determine a diamond's value: cut (how well it returns light), colour (graded D–Z, where D is colourless), clarity (from Flawless down to Included) and carat weight. It also records measurements, proportions, fluorescence and any treatments.
Are Lab Grown and natural diamonds certified differently?+
Both are graded on the same 4Cs scale, but a Lab Grown stone's report is clearly marked 'laboratory-grown' and the stone is usually inscribed as such. Lab Grown and mined diamonds are chemically and optically identical — we sell both, certificated, with full disclosure.
Do all your diamonds come with a certificate?+
